Spice up your PSP's look with the Windows Vista PSP Theme!
To install place everything in the PSP/GAME150 folder (yes it has to be the GAME150 the normal GAME folder will not work)
Controls
analog - mouse movement
up/down directions - movement in file browser
X = select/play lua game and set wallpaper (only png)
O = delete selected file
Features
It features full memory stick browsing. Ability to play lua games. You can also set a PNG image as a wallpaper and if you exit the game and re-enter it will remember the wallpaper settings. USB mode activation while running the game. Real time clock, actualy displays PSP's time.Delete a file on memory stick while in game.
How to use wallpapers
a wallpaper has to be a png image. It's resolution need to be 480x272. The image also has to be placed in the Wallpapers folder. Once that is done, in the game, go to My Computer. Then display. You should see your wallpaper listed highlight it and press X. the memory light should flash. press the close button at the top of the window to return to the desktop. Your wallpaper should be in place!
How to run Lua games
download a lua game and place all file from the folder(the folder you would normaly place under GAME or GAME150)in the GAMES folder. while running the game go to start. The go to games. This should list all the games in the GAMES folder. select either the index.lua or the script.lua file and enjoy the game!
Notes:
1. wallpapers have to be in "PSP/GAME150/__SCE__Windows Vista/Windows Vista/Wallpaper" the name of the wallpaper also has to be all in caps.
2. The "__SCE__Windows Vista" folder has to be in GAME150 for it to work.

Where is the GAME150 FOLDER I have official 5.01 firmware and looked and couldent find it PLEASE HELP. Do I have to make it because I did in th PSP folder and nothing.

my windows vista works fine on my psp with no custom firmware, its a bit slow cause its a beta but it works great, got to download.com and type in pspwxp, download it then make a folder named pspwxp on your psp and transfer it into it, then goto homepage settings in the internet and type in file:/pspwxp/index.htm just like its type then restart ure psp and it works in ure internet, if u want to get on the internet just click on internet in windows

you need a custom firmware and it isnt that good.
Currently i am working on my own windows os that is coded in lua and far suppasses this one!!! my windows is only windows xp but as i progress through the program and finish it (Eventually) i have decided to make a windows vista version and a linux version of the opperating system.
my current version of windows xp is more complex than this version and offers the user more compatability as the user would be able to use existing lua code apps and games to enhance their os.
i would like some help completeing my windows os and would like to get a beta version out there as soon as possible on as many homebrew psp forums and sites so if anyone could help it would be grateley appreciated

Custom Firmware is needed for this!
To use this Vista version you need custom firmware Im running it on 3.40 OE-A but it's not that good. Not recommened. Sorry!

Ok to download windows vista go to www.download.com type in the search box pspwxp scroll down till u find it click download make sur the psp is connected to ur computer once u get pspwxp open click install then install it in ur psp drive once its done unplug the psp go to the web browser type in the address bar file:/pspWxp/index.htm press enter then triangle and vista should pop up

to run this you have to have a 1.50 psp or some custom firmware that dark alex (psp hacker) has made there are various versions of his firmware rangeing from 2.71 to 3.40 OE-A (which i have) you cannot use sonys official firmware!!!. if u want to downgrade or go to a custom firmware you also have to have one of these versions of the official firmware on your psp - 1.00, 1.50, 2.00, 2.50, 2,60, 2.71, 2.80 - so if u have any official firmware above these dont even try. you would understand about GAME150 if u had one of the custom firmwares - if u want any help downgradeing or upgradeing to a custom firmware then E-Mail me on fatboycg@hotmail.co.uk and i will try to answer all ur questions and more.

i have 3.10oe-a' on my psp and its realy good, this wrks fine with me. You will need to downgrade your psp to 1.50 before you can do any of this stuff, i tryed it first time and it bricked my psp lol, but i got it fixed for £30! there is a guy on ebay wh fixes them just type in "bricked psp" or something like that.

Ok f you want to download themes some need to have the file extracted to do this you need the program winrar its free just download nothing else then place the them that you extracted in the theme section wen ur psp is connected make sure that the folder has no other files if it does replace the folder holding the other folder with the one in it by copying the folder and deleting the one in the theme section replacig it with the copied one remember this step is optional
