PSP Firmware 3.80

Sony PSP 3.80 EBOOT

Sony released PSP firmware 3.80 and this time it really feels like they are back to adding features to their updated instead of miniscule "security updated". The PSP is ever growing in it's homebrew journey and Dark Alex, Fanjita (Or any able PSP coder) is; I'm sure; working already on everything from a HEN (Homebrew Enabled) version of 3.80 to a full blown downgrade from 3.80 to 1.50 or 1.00 if that's what you prefer.

 

Along with upgrading your PSP's firmware, Sony sought fit to bring some pretty useful features this time for us to my surprise, we can actually smile at!

  • [Internet Radio] has been added as a feature under [Network].
  • The importing of channels in OPML format is now supported under [RSS Channel].
  • Photos can now be displayed under [RSS Channel].
  • New effects have been added to the visual player under [Music]. Only one new visual has been added. It acts like a slow Etch-a-Sketch.

greetings and happy new year to all psp users...for hours now i have been researching a way to downgrade my psp v.3.8 to the lowest v. so i can utilized my psp even more...i see that no one have discovered a way of doing so but if someone has found a treasure box without w/o changing batteries theory please keep me informed....thanks for the help and again more power to psp users!!!

Yes you actually can use homebrew with cfw 3.80. All you have to do is download and extract the NEW 1.50 kernal for it. then yaaaaaaaaaaay all the homebrew games you ever want to play! =]

I updated my PSP for the 3.80 firmware but then I couldn't play all the games and videos I had in my memory stick! Seemed more of a snare than an update! it's so frustrating! huhuhuhu! Is there a chance i can downgrade it to its lower version as SOON as possible. please help and thanks!

If you can get your hands on a PSP with firmware 1.50 or any other custom firmware , you should make a pandora Batterie.I downgraded my 3.80 PSP Phat today and it works great. Thanx to DAX for the Soft to enable me to play homebrew.

Well as far as i know there

Well as far as i know there is no downgrader for firmware higher than 3.50.You have to use a Pandora Batterie, it is not bound by any firmware yet. The only way the Pandora will not work for a downgrade is when sony makes some serious changes to the PSP hardware preventing you from using your Pandora Batterie. TO my knowledge, all firmwares are downgradeable by using a cheated batterie and memory card.
