If you like gory first person shooters with great graphics and a
distinct likeness to successful FPS games such as DOOM and
Wolfenstein 3D then you'll love PSP Dungeons 3D...and it's not a new
UMD Game. Yes, despite the great looking graphics and a professional
touch, PSP Dungeons 3D v0.5 is actually a homebrew game, the latest
to come from the likes of Charnold from our forums.
This was last featured PSP Dungeons on QJ back in august, and a lot
has changed since then, with a big clue being the title change to
PSP Dungeons '3D'.
Back in August Mnky commented on PSP Dungeons, saying "hopefully we'll see this come into a fully-fledged game soon" and I think his dreams have finally come true. Here's the changelog:
- Renders 3D weapons
- Supports TGA textures
- Maps can have doors that open automatically
- Models and weapons can be set in ASCII files
If you enjoy playing this game then you might want to know that Charnold has also created a PSP Dungeons map making kit. It containins everything you need in order to get started making your own maps for this FPS homebrew game. We know you can't wait to get your hands on this game so we'll be off, but remember, if you do make a few maps for this game, don't forget to release them on our PSP Programming forum!
