LuaAirForce v0.5 - now with sound

You heard right. If there's a reason to download the latest version of yoyomacy's side-scrolling Lua shooter, it's because it's now got sound effects, courtesy of the efforts of superbatxs. Also, because the code has been cleaned up a bit, bugs were fixed (although it seems that online feature from the last version is still not working as planned), and some other new stuff which are detailed in the change log below. But again, the big change is that, Houston, we now have sound.

Super Mario Power Coins v1.2

Super Mario Power Coins v1.2
A lot of people say that playing addictive single-player games is an anti-social thing to do in a party. But heck, who cares? At least you know you're having your own party with your PSP, right? You can't help trying to have your own fun if the rest of the people in the party are all smooching each other left and right. Can't you have your own fun?
Here's an option. One of the more enjoyable addictive homebrew games we've come across is Super Mario Power Coins. As with any other addictive game, the formula for enjoyment equates to just one simple goal in this game: grab as many coins without getting hit by the enemies. Easy enough, right? If you've played this game before, you'd know that it isn't. The game progresses fast - just the way we like it! - and after five minutes (if you can last that long) the screen is filled with evil meanies.  read more »

Elemental PSP Homebrew Demo

While Homebrew developer Yan2Yan's Elemental is alot like Tetris where you have to line up four or more blocks of the same color and clear them from your path as more blocks are constantly being added for a sense of doom and gloom if you run out of space. Yan2Yan also was kind enough to allow Elemental players to customize the game's background by placing an image into a specific folder (data/gfx/skins) and then placing the values on a config.txt file, easy enough.

Boxy II v0.5

Boxy II v0.5

After a couple of months' hiatus (the previous version, v0.4, was released waaay back in June), Ghoti is now back with an updated version of his block game, Boxy II.

Ghoti explains that it's been a while since he updated this game because he was busy with his studies. Well, we're certainly not one to complain, and it's nice to hear that you still prioritize your studies over PSP coding. (Ya hear that, anti-gaming groups?! Gamers DO have priorities!) Hahaha. Anyway, this new release has two new skins made by Dj_Gordon, and Ghoti hopes there'll be even more to come.

That said, here's the changelog for v0.5:  read more »

PSP Revolution v0.3

PSP Revolution v0.3 for the PSP
Are your coordination skills still up to par? Are you still good with your fingers? We don't think anyone's really that bad with their fingers. It's all a matter of how you use them, anyways. That's why practice will always help.

Now we haven't heard from PSP Revolution recently. All we've been getting for some time now are mods and additional "skins". Hardrive tipped us off, and we just found out that today, DeNitro and Devin923 have released PSP Revolution v0.3 for everyone to get busy with. For those not familiar with this non-homebrew-looking homebrew, it's played much like Step Mania. Keep up with the music and make sure you time your button presses well when they hit the indicators on the top of the screen.  read more »
