PSP Devhook 0.51 released - 3.01 PSP Firmware emulation!

hey i just got a psp and i wanted to mod it out. what exactly does the devhook do?

you will need to downgrade the firmware on your PSP before running dev hook, I have a firmware downgrader and a shit load of games to run using dev hook, contact me if your interested.

does that downgrader work on v2.82? i updated it and now i regret it because im having a tough time mod'ing it out

So what do i do after i've downloaded this? Do i just copy them to my PSP memory stick like usual? I'm using a older version of devhook but it was my friend who did it for me. Do i need both of them.. the 1.21MB file and the 141.79KB file?

sadly the only psp downgrades past 2.80 you have to pay for, there is one 2.80 downgrade at http://www.psp-vault.com/Article800.psp. if you want the one you have to pay for you can find it at http://www.pspdowngrading.com/?hop=milleniumb. but ill be dammed if im gonna pay for something thatll be free in a month. modchips can be used but those will run you about $100 so ide just say wait. im still waiting for mine to run cheat device on vice city through devhook.

I mistakenly thought updates were a good thing until i read up on the advantages of running devhook. Is there anything that can be used to downgrade from 3.3 to a lower version so i can run all the goodies that are out there on the net?

first of all dont upgrade any more you downgrade to 1.5 then upgrade to 2.7 custum firmware then to 3.3 custum ware then finaly to 3.10 decrypted wire all these downgrades and upgrades can be found at quickjump.com

you can downgrad from 3.03. GO to http://dl.qj.net/Homebrew-Enabler-(HEN)-Duff-for-3.03-PSP-s-PSP/pg/12/fid/12430/catid/114 and get the info you need. "hen" will only work on 3.03. You will need grand theft auto liberty city stories to downgrad. THIS CAN BRACK A PSP IF DONE WORNG.BUT if on 2.80 or something like that you can update at the same site.

with the use of an unpatched (origonal Release) of GTA:Liberty City Stories and a special gamesave file to make use of an exploit to run hend. then you can run downgrader. good luck finding it last i seen was on ebay for $50.00

Hey, I bought a psp 2nd hand and apparently it used to play nearly all iso's but when i try toplay games like gta vice city stories and fight night round 3 it just freezes when i click on the game. I can play Ridge racer and Virtua tennis but loads of others keep freezing. Would i need you use Devhook..??

please tell me how it work on v3.1.1 .cuz i just got it please help

u need to downgrade your psp but to do this u need to upgrade to 3.03 and buy gta lcs unpatched(approx 60-70$ on eBay) and find a downgrader.... just register at evilpsp.com and go to forums! u can find more ehelp there... btw this bost u just did is kinda offtop so it's my first and last warning!

notin hard... just go to evilpsp main page and look at "3.50 downgrader" if u can afford to buy lumines and all that stuff -buy it make shure it's the right one, upgrade your psp to 3.50 and downgrade it(there is pretty easy instructions included, even biggest noob can get them!)- after downgrading u can download and install 3.40OE-A custom firmware(i made auto installer u can find it in our forums- Firmware section(onthe bottom) and click on 3.0+, than click on 3.40 OE-A is out... if u will have some more problems-register and send me a question through PM... i will be glad to answer

i have recently changed my memory stick however all my downgrade seems to be not working even though i have the 1.50 version. ofcourse i have downgaraded my psp earlier on from 2.60
but my new memory stick can't actually play any downloaded games as it seeks for an up grade.
upgrading my psp seems the only option or should i process the devhook from square 1?

hi devhook is there a way to downgrade a psp from 2.81 to 1.50 because in a way i messed up my psp because i stupidly upgraded my psp to 2.81 just so i could play one of the 2.81 games. is there a downgrader or if there isnt would it be possible to upgrade to 3.03 and then downgrade to 1.50. please reply as soon as possible as i would be very gratefull to find out. ps. you devhook and dark alex are the best people very trustwothy involving psp firmware.

i think devhook is not the best thing to do u can better go on a custum firmware loke dark alex i have 3.40 OE then u can put games in the game folder and u can play them :)

hello mate, ive got a psp query im running dev hook v0.22 i never put it on myself but the games that were put on all worked. nba showdown bunout legands virtua tennis star wars battle front. im now downloading games myself and putting them in it iso folder. i cant get any of them to work. ive tried leaving them unextracted and exptrating them. theyre the same format of files and i dont know what im doing wrong can u please please please help?
