So as u know DAX is left PSP scene. He said so on his website dark-alex.org and Russian hackers took his place! Russian group "Soyuz M33" (English: "Union M33") decided to continue what dax
started. OUR saviors! And if it doesn't makes you run across the room and yell "YEPEE!!!!" u are
probably DS fan =))) as said by jeremy in 3.50 downgrade software topic... So, they released new
firmware now it's not OE, it's m33, so if u will go to the system settings after installing new firmware
u will see "3.51 m33" actually it's the same as OE(recovery mode and all that stuff) but it has
different letters in the end and it supports more games in no-umd mode! Good news are: U DON'T
HAVE TO DOWNGRADE YOUR CURRENT OE TO INSTALL THIS ONE!!! I did install it couple minutes ago, what can i say, they took dax's method but they made it a lot easier, once u copied all the files on the memory stick u don't have to reconnect your psp to paste another ones. Also recovery mode is THE SAME THING AS IT WAS BEFORE, the only difference is a color, and their signature on the upper right corner. As always u need to have at least 75% of battery avalible charge.
Summary of features offered by CFW v3.51 M33

Here are instructions:
(1) If you have official 1.50 firmware on your psp:copy "kxploitpatcher" and "kxploitpatcher%" from
"1.50only" to "ms0:/PSP/GAME/" and launch it. ( if u have custom firmware u don't have to download"150only.rar)
(2) Copy folder "M33CREATOR" into "ms0:/PSP/GAME" if you are on 1.5 or on dark alex custom
firmware with kernel folder set to 1.50 (TO FIND OUT HOW TO CHECK WHAT KERNEL FOLDER U
HAVE GO TO THE PSP'S RECOVERY MODE, CONFIGURATION, AND LOOK AT: "Game folder
homebrew(currently X.XX kernel), if u have 1.50 instead of X.XX copy folder to "ms0:/PSP/GAME") if u have dax OE with kernel set to 3.XX copy folder to "ms0:/PSP/GAME150"
(3) Download official 3.51 and 1.50 eboots and rename them to 150.PBP and 351.PBP and put them into the "M33CREATOR" folder
(4) In XMB launch "3.51 M33 CREATOR" and wait until it will drop u back to XMB
(5) Launch "3.51 M33UPDATE" on PSP and follow on-screen instructions
(6) When it asks you, press X to restart
(7) Now, scream "WOHOO!!!" U got newest custom firmware from UNION M33!!!
Attention: Everything your doing is at your own risk! If your psp breaks during upgrade, evilpsp doesn't take any responsibility for that, neither do I (sergi512). I upgraded my PSP and it works fine, my motherboard is TA-079.
Here's a video-Installation process:
